After a long day yesterday, today I was up at the crack of dawn to put in a full day of work at my main gig while getting out of there early enough to visit some side jobs I am working.

I wound up getting to ride my bike in the afternoon as I was tooling between job sites. That was sweet, though I got stuck out later than I intended on and sweet jesus did it get cold.

Live and learn I guess. All in all it was worth it. It was a good time.

I migrated all my servers between racks at the data center they have been living at tonight. It was of course the suck, but was not nearly as bad as it could have been. Had some good help so it went pretty quickly. It’s been a long day, and tomorrow is going to be longer.

So, today was the day. My brother’s soon to be ex-wife was supposed to return a bunch of shit she had previously stolen, and was to pick up:

1) Her bike.
2) Her wedding dress.

Wtf? Why does this chicky want the wedding dress? The marriage didn’t mean a damn thing, why keep the dress? This chick is a fucking monkey, though I should proly try to stay on her good side, as she will one day soon be a millionaire. She’s been on the 2 year plan to the multi-millionaire club with Market America .. er .. wait .. maybe that’s not it. Anyhow, she’s been on the two year plan to wealth since the mid 90s. Apparantly ‘two year’ is misleading.

She had stated that she didn’t want my brother there at his house when she came by to swap the stuff. She was apparently high when she thought that he was going to leave her a ke so she could finish the job. It was decided that I’d stand watch. So I did. She was quite thrilled to see me, but we got it over quickly enough. As much of a ‘warrior’ or ‘wizard’ she thinks she is, she has no fucking common sense and no sense of honor. Period.

As we were finishing up the unloading, it really started to snow hard. I made it home and had my older son help me shovel the drive way. Was good time and I hope he remember it. I hope he remembers this shit. Damn.

I love my boys, I hope I do right by them.

Spent my morning talking to an accountant about some drama … Looked at first like I was going to have a sudden influx of cash. The end result is that I’ll need to wait over a year before I can touch it in order to keep from giving it all to the tax man. Come see me next year, eh?

I then went out to my folks farm to go do some target shooting with a friend of mine. Some how in this middle of all that, my wife had a tire blow out in the middle of nowhere. That was no fun. Got that resolved and got home. All in all, it was a good day.

I’ve had enough of this week. Damn. I should have rode my bike to work yesterday. I considered it today, but when I opened the garage door, I saw the cie on my driveway. I suspect if I can’t make it to the street without crossing over ice, I would not be able to make it the rest of the way to work without encountering a lot more.

I’ve been reading a lot of websites about making better blogs. About how to get folks to read your writings regularly. I’d really like to be a writer. I guess I’ve decided to start by writing. I’ll figure out how to do it well later. For now, just writing needs to be enough.

I’m one step closer to the truth.

My boys are the shit. Little peanut ain’t doing a whole lot other than crawling around smashing his little fingers in drawers and what not, but it’s only a matter of time before he follows in his brother’s footsteps.

Aron is a little negotiater. Everything is an opportunity to strike a deal with that guy. One more story before bedtime. One more cookie. Always something with that guy. He’s going to be trouble, and peanut is going to help.

I finally got the part they claimed to have shipped a month ago. I swapped it out and found myself in the exact same situation I was in before. The main rotor spins at either full speed or not at all. That is not very compatible to controlled flight. This is the suck. I need to try and work with those guys to try and get this shit resolved.
