    ’ve been called upon at a moment’s notice to troubleshoot a misbehaving PC system either at work or at a friend’s or relative’s home. Being the “go to” guy for these sorts of problems is both a curse and a blessing, but I guess that is besides the point.

    New Photos Reveal Horror Of Hiroshima (GRAPHIC IMAGES)

    These photographs were found in 1945 among rolls of undeveloped film in a cave outside Hiroshima by a U.S. serviceman, who was attached to the occupation forces. Unlike most photos of the Hiroshima bombing, these dramatically convey the human as well as material destruction unleashed by the atomic bomb. -And HRC wants to “obliterate Iran.” Nice.

    The “Hello World” Program, in 366 Programming Languages!

    “Hello World” is the traditional first program you write when learning a new language, first appearing in K&R’s “The C Programming Language” book in 1978. Since then it has been implemented in almost every programming language on the planet. This collection has it in 366 coding languages (even LOLCode!) and 58 human ones! Is your favourite here?

    UK: Troops to use electronic insects ‘by end of the year’

    The storyline from Minority Report may not be quite as far fetched as it sounds. British defence giant BAE Systems is creating a series of tiny electronic spiders, insects and snakes that could become the eyes and ears of soldiers on the battlefield, helping to save thousands of lives. Prototypes could be on the front line by the end of the year…
