I got my new bike. It’s a whole lot bigger and heavier than my old one. It’s also a whole shit ton more powerful. I’ll prolly get a picture or two up here in a bit. That’s the theory at least.

I drove directly from the shop, up to the firehouse. I got there in time for our membership drive which didn’t go as well as planned. Attendance was poor to say the least. Maybe we will do better next time, eh?

After the membership drive, we did our annual crayfish boil. We’ve got a contingent of folks from Louisiana who know how to cook up all that Cajun insanity. We had quite the turn out for that and a great time was had by all.

People never cease to amaze me. Ran a few interesting calls, was called a ‘fucking bastard’ and a ’son of a bitch’ by a patient. That was pretty sweet. She was probably a nice person in her day, before dementia set in. That’s got to be a bitch. I hope I’m not around to experience that. Damn.

There are folks that call all the time for stupid shit. Then one day, you get the call for that same address and things are different. Too bad he didn’t call us Friday. Maybe then we could have helped?

RIP man.

I got no sleep. I am exhausted. Ran a couple calls and a structure fire. Some asshole found an eight foot python tooling around in the building and brought it out to fuck with me. I am impressed the thing was alive and kicking, but I wanted nothing to do with it.

Damn.

Looks like the new house is a done deal.

A friend of mine came down to the firehouse tonight to do a ride along. He’s done it in the past I believe but never gotten anything. We only got one call, and there wasn’t much to it. Fender bender with neck and back pain. Nothing real exciting.

So, last night I ran into an individual that thought it would be a good idea to chew up a mouth full of time release narcotics in response to an allergic reaction. The individual was advised otherwise.

Then today on the way home from work on my bike I run into an accident that just happened. Three vehicles  involved. As I’m pulling my bike onto the sidewalk, I note a Tahoe driving over the median appearing to be gunning for me. I was … less than thrilled. Eitehr way, I got up on the sidewalk and the tahoe stopped short. It then kicked on it’s red and blues and blocked a single lane of travel. Chicky driving the thing IDs herself as secret service and we begin assessing the situation. Driver of the vehicle in the back had some busted up forearms. Badly bruised and bleeding. Passanger in the front vehicle was walking around, streching and complaining of neck and back pain.

I helped out the best I could until on the local medic crew showed up. I passed off the info I had at the time and went on my way. Heh.

Additionally, I went to try out the latest nugget from those fucking assholes and discovered that the battery to my RC helicopter has turned up missing.

Great. I guess I’ll need to get a new one or something. Damn it.

Got an email back from those fucking assholes. They gave me one more thing to try. I’ll try that tonight to see if it’s worth anything. We shall see.

Additionally, got up at the right time today so that’s good. Day 8 on that front. As far as the no fast food thing is going, I had Chipotle  last night. I didn’t consider that fast food. I’ve been defining fast food by a drive through and/or deep fryer. I don’t count this as a failure though I might put chipotle into the fast food catagory and avoid it for the duration.

I think I’m on day 4 or so of that run.

I think the 0530 thing may be effecting me more than I’d like. I have not been going to bed earlier to compensate for the early rising, though I think my body may soon rebel and force me to do so. My concern is that last night I slept through the alarm at the firehouse going off. It was for a call another unit was going on so it didn’t matter, but the alarm was no different than if it had been for me. Not good. Hnmn …

On duty this weekend. Nothing interesting to report. Ran out after a Hindu woman who wanted her family to think she was in grave condition. She thought it was a good idea to pretend she was passed out and/or dying. She was retarded like Bilo.
