A friend’s little sister needed to interview a person who has had an unusual experience. I took her out to interview a local homeless guy I know. I wish his experience truely was unusual. The reality is that there is too much homelessness out there. We need to find a way to change that. Maybe.

During the process I asked him several times, in several ways what could be done to help him get out of where he was. In the end all he could come up with, was that he didn’t mind it. That it was peaceful living in the  woods. Who knows. Maybe he’s better off where he is?

Strange days folks. Strange days.

I’d like to help those guys. I’ve been bringing them clothes, blankets and food. I feel like that is of some assistance, but I’d like to do more. I’d like to give them a voice. I’m considering doing something involving a camera and this website. I”m not sure exactly what though.

I need ideas folks. Help?

Went out again giving blankets and clothes to the homeless folks in the area. Had a long conversation with two of them (separately). Apparently they know each other. It was interesting hearing from the two of them about the relationship the two had with each other and about what kind of person each was in the other’s eyes.

I wish folks could just be a little kinder to one another. Damn.

I met a man once who was so hungry he saw God in a loaf of bread.

It was damned cold yesterday, so I brought a bunch of blankets and canned foods from my house out to some homeless folks last night. I did he drop off while I was on duty at the firehouse. When I dropped off the goods with a homeless guy at his shelter in the woods he showed me his hand.

His ring finger was so swollen, he couldn’t move it. He said he smashed it a couple weeks ago and it keeps growing. I began trying to talk him into letting me take him to the hospital, but just at that time I got dispatched to a call for someone having trouble breathing.

Ya can’t save them all. That was the suck ass. I hope he found warmth.
