I got on the bike yesterday. Not a long ride, just enough to drop off some crackers for my mom and get gas. Was good just the same. I was listening to Ghosts while I did it.

It was a good ride. I dig that shit. I need to do it more.

Yeah. Seriously. Hnmn …

The good is that now I know that I *AM* in fact strong enough to pick my bike up off the side of the road. The bad is that I had the opportunity to learn that. It sucked. I’ll live. Eventually my left arm will stop hurting I suspect.

Damn.

I got my new bike. It’s a whole lot bigger and heavier than my old one. It’s also a whole shit ton more powerful. I’ll prolly get a picture or two up here in a bit. That’s the theory at least.

I drove directly from the shop, up to the firehouse. I got there in time for our membership drive which didn’t go as well as planned. Attendance was poor to say the least. Maybe we will do better next time, eh?

After the membership drive, we did our annual crayfish boil. We’ve got a contingent of folks from Louisiana who know how to cook up all that Cajun insanity. We had quite the turn out for that and a great time was had by all.

This bike’s been sold. I moved it quickly on Craig’s List. I believe I got a fair price for it, the buyer paid my asking price without any hassle. I had a decent number of folks respond to the ad quickly enough that I believe I priced it low enough, but not so many that I think I undervalued it. I think it was a good deal all around.

I’m getting  a new bike soon. Hopefully I’ll have it under me before Monday comes around. That’ll be sweet.

Went to the wedding last night and had a great time I think.

There are folks who go through occasional periods of ’self discovery’. Periods of trying to find out who they are. It seems I go through periods of trying to find out who I’ve been. Last night, I met a number of people that opened up a number of new questions for me. I wonder if I want to find the answers.

Additionally, I found a little more truth. Unrelated to the wedding for the most part, but I’m one step closer none the less.

Some Motorcycle rider ran from a cop over a speeding ticket on 495. The end result was 15 injured and 2 dead.

They are reporting that the bike ‘forced’ the cop to slam into the ass end of another car which launched it onto the other side of the beltway were the real carnage went down. I don’t believe that is possible. I do believe that the bike running from the cop was a major cause of the incident however.

Guys. Quit running from the cops on bikes. It’s bad karma. Be a man and take your lumps. It’s not worth it. Damn.

So, last night I ran into an individual that thought it would be a good idea to chew up a mouth full of time release narcotics in response to an allergic reaction. The individual was advised otherwise.

Then today on the way home from work on my bike I run into an accident that just happened. Three vehicles  involved. As I’m pulling my bike onto the sidewalk, I note a Tahoe driving over the median appearing to be gunning for me. I was … less than thrilled. Eitehr way, I got up on the sidewalk and the tahoe stopped short. It then kicked on it’s red and blues and blocked a single lane of travel. Chicky driving the thing IDs herself as secret service and we begin assessing the situation. Driver of the vehicle in the back had some busted up forearms. Badly bruised and bleeding. Passanger in the front vehicle was walking around, streching and complaining of neck and back pain.

I helped out the best I could until on the local medic crew showed up. I passed off the info I had at the time and went on my way. Heh.

I believe today I am going to take my oldest son out Geocaching, then to the bike shop to look at motorcycles and lastly by a hardware store to get shit to wash my bike/cars.

Good times all around I think. We shall see, eh?

Some chick on a bike dipped from the cops. It didn’t work out for her.

More data here She was traveling with someone else according to the article. I think it’s possible that other individual might get hit with some charges relating to her death. I’ve seen stranger things happpen.

ie: Two guys rob a quicky mart, one is shot dead by the cops and the other gets charged with murder. I’ve seen that happen.
